Corewell Health is the largest health system and employer in West Michigan. Elexicon has been proudly working with their marketing and information technology teams since 2003. We’ve been tasked with providing strategic, creative and technology expertise for their website, brand journalism and social media initiatives over the years.

Elexicon designed and developed a robust WordPress-powered platform for Corewell Health’s (formerly Spectrum Health) award winning brand journalism and content marketing platform, Health Beat. The site supported the publication and editorial workflow for hundreds of stories annually, including photography and video. Health Beat was a powerful engine for community engagement, garnered thousands of visitors, subscribers, social media interactions and user comments.

Content strategy

As part of the planning for Health Beat, Elexicon helped Spectrum Health develop a broad content strategy for leveraging the organization’s communications and brand assets into a robust “hub” of content output for their websites, e-mail marketing, social media, and public relations. These diagrams helped visualize the content development roadmap.
