About Us
Founded 25 years ago in Grand Rapids, Elexicon began as one of the first and leading web design agencies in West Michigan. Decades on, our expertise has grown and evolved into a strategic consultancy with a continued focus on creativity, innovation, technology — and clarity.
we
We are thinkers, strategists, communicators, and technologists with decades of high-profile, pressure-tested experience. Our expertise and insights bridge your vision and strategies across marketing, innovation, technology and growth.
make
We make by innovating, workshopping and researching; visualizing and mapping; writing and designing; developing, iterating and building; and analyzing, testing and refining — all unified by our proven processes for managing fast-moving projects with quality and clarity.
things
We make things out of our expertise and skills: Full-functional marketing strategies, plans and roadmaps, digital product prototypes, websites and digital ecosystems, brand and design systems, content marketing and lead generation platforms.
clear
We make things clear by implementing throughlines of simplicity, design thinking and market fit in everything we deliver. Our approach is always user-focused and human-centered, based on years of expertise in user experience, usability and information architecture.
The test of time
Through decades and waves of constant change, our mantra “We make things clear” has reliably united our approach.

The end is the beginning
We take Steven Covey’s second habit to heart: Begin with the end in mind — envision your creation before you physically create it. This thinking is the catalyst for our entire process and is central to what we do. We begin each project with research, scenarios and lots of questions, followed by visuals, concepts and prototypes. We always have the desired end result in sight while we focus on every detail required to get there.
Simplicity is awesome
Musician Charles Mingus said it best: “Making the simple complicated is commonplace; making the complicated simple, awesomely simple, that’s creativity.” This mindset establishes clear priorities and purpose; reduces confusion and increases understanding; and replaces clutter and noise with impact and clarity. Some equate “simple” with boring and plain. To us, simplicity is beautiful and powerful.
Our business is personal
“All fine architectural values are human values, else not valuable.” These words from Frank Lloyd Wright capture the value we place on people: our team, our clients, and their users. All three groups are closely connected in our thinking and in our work. After all, we ultimately share the same goals: Happy, loyal customers and strong relationships based on digital experiences that people can easily understand and trust.
Starting with “Why”: We Make Things Clear
A few years ago I decided that Elexicon needed to re-focus as an agency. I felt like we were drifting a bit, and lacking direction … and that started at the top, with me.
