We’re admirers of Christman Company’s construction work, and we see stunning examples of it every day throughout Michigan. Based in Lansing and founded in 1894, Christman is the largest and most admired construction management company in the state, as well as nationwide through their expansion into the mid-eastern and southern U.S.
Information Architecture
Christman approached us with the desire to replatform their existing website and design a more engaging user experience. This included intentional use of their new photography, color, typography, and icon standards, something that had not be present on their existing site. We worked to simplify the information architecture of the existing sitemap. Many pages were consolidated or eliminated through best practices and collaboration with the client.
Design System / Component Library
Working closely with their marketing and brand team, we created a robust design system and component library that allowed them to flexibly create pages that fit their content. Ever growing to meet their needs, this approach allows a “plug and play” experience for our clients while remaining completely custom to their brand and needs.
Website design & development
Next, Elexicon put our proven process to work to build the website. Our UX designer worked seamlessly with our web development team to implement the design system and components into beautiful pages and navigation that tell the story of Christman’s long history and modern accomplishments. The site was built using the latest WordPress technologies for content management and performance optimization.
